Srikrishna Committee report out,offers multiple “optimal solutions”

The report of Justice Srikrishna Committee, a deciding factor for future of Andhra Pradesh came out with six options including options of continuity of united State and separation of Telangana. The six options can be outlined as follows: * Maintain status quo: either chief minister or deputy CM to
be from Telangana.


* Bifurcation of Andhra into Seemandhra & Telangana, Hyderabad as Union Territory. Both regions to have own capital in due course.


* Bifurcation into Rayaltelangana and Coastal Andhra. Hyderabad to be with Rayaltelangana.


*Bifurcation of Seemandhra & Telangana as per existing boundary. Hyderabad to be capital of Telangana while Seemandhra to have its own capital.


* A united state providing certain constitutional measures for socio-eco and political development, formation of Telangana regional council.


*United Andhra Pradesh with provision for Telangana Committee.
