Starwood and Hyatt targets Indian hotel industry

New Delhi: Starwood Hotels & Resorts and Hyatt Hotels Corporation are now targeting India for setting up luxury hotels and resorts. On Tuesday, the officials of the two companies declared about their plans for developing new hotels in India and also commented that India offers huge growth potentials for the hotel industry.

This year, Hyatt is planning to open three more hotels in India. It has already established a successful chain of 5 hotels in different part of India. Starwood also has plans to extend their hospitality wing in India. The company that runs 26 hotels in the nation presently will be opening more number of hotels in the coming days.

Leading hotel groups of United States, one of which is Hyatt eyes India to recover their lost market, which was lost during the global economic downturn. The growing economy of India and incredible business opportunities attracts many foreign companies to set up their businesses here.
